About the Position

Zemenayad Digital Marketing Consultancy PLC is seeking a skilled and innovative Web Developer to oversee the development and maintenance of websites for Zemenayad and its clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing, deploying and maintaining professional websites across different industries.

As a digital marketing consultancy, our web development activities go beyond building websites. The role also involves search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), website analytics, conversion tracking and the technical optimization of digital platforms.

The ideal candidate should combine strong technical development skills with an understanding of digital marketing and search engine performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, plan, design, develop and deploy professional websites for the company and its clients.

• Develop and maintain both custom-built websites and Content Management System (CMS) websites.

• Work with platforms including WordPress, Joomla, Shopify and other relevant website development technologies.

• Customize website themes, plugins, layouts and functionalities based on project requirements.

• Maintain, troubleshoot and optimize existing websites to ensure security, performance, responsiveness and reliability.

• Implement technical and on-page SEO strategies to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.

• Support SEM activities through landing page development, website optimization and alignment with digital advertising campaigns.

• Configure and manage website analytics and tracking integrations, including Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Search Console (GSC).

• Work with Google Site Kit and other relevant website analytics and search performance tools.

• Monitor website performance, indexing, traffic and technical SEO issues, and recommend improvements.

• Collaborate with the content, creative and digital marketing teams to deliver integrated online solutions.

• Ensure that websites are mobile-friendly, user-friendly, search-engine-friendly and optimized for conversions.

• Provide ongoing website maintenance, updates and technical support for client projects.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or another relevant technical field.

• Graduates from Marketing or related fields may also apply, provided they have demonstrable web development experience, relevant technical certifications or professional training.

• Practical knowledge of website design, development and maintenance.

• Ability to work with both custom-built websites and CMS platforms, particularly WordPress, Joomla and Shopify.

• Understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

• Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console and Google Site Kit.

• Understanding of responsive website design, user experience and website performance optimization.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• A portfolio of previously developed websites or relevant projects is highly desirable.
